Elle se fait appeler « Miu » (qui se prononce miyou). C’est une jeune femme de 19 ans qui a un sens assez poussé pour la musique. Elle, de son vrai nom Murielle Augustin, est née le 7 Février 1988. Fille d’un saxophoniste et d’une modiste, elle est venue au monde avec un sens artistique très prononcé. Déjà à l’age de 7 ans, elle confectionnait elle-même les vêtements de ses poupées. Elle a fait ses études primaires chez les sœurs de Saint-Joseph de Cluny à Mère Louise. A 9 ans, elle prend conscience de sa grande attirance pour le chant. Elle effectue chez les sœurs de Sainte-Anne ses études secondaires, au Collège Marie-Anne. Actuellement en classe de terminale, elle s’est déjà frottée au monde de la mode et elle a même reçu un diplôme en mannequinât de « Murielle Création ». Elle compte bien développer son talent pour l’écriture ; talent qu’elle a mis à l’épreuve en envoyant un de ses textes (qui s’intitule « Machann Pwonmennen » au Petit Nouvelliste qui s’est fait le plaisir de le publier. Aujourd’hui, elle accorde une place importante à la musique dans sa vie. Style d’expression artistique pour lequel elle a eu droit à un premier essai assez appréciable en se qualifiant pour les demi-finales du concours de Solèy Sounds. Elle a interprété « Hot Boy » sur le rythme Dancehall du concours, rythme auquel elle n’était pas habituée et qui en plus devait lui permettre d’expérimenter le chant dans toutes ses dimensions, à savoir voix et orchestration. Pour une première expérience derrière un micro, cela a été assez remarquable, surtout qu’elle n’a jamais mis les pieds avant dans un studio d’enregistrement.
